Is this event still on? The LLFF is trying to get a head count for the Saturday dinner fish fry. Anybody got a head count yet?

Is there a way we can get a head count for this event? We are trying to set up the fish fry but need to know how many people we are going to be serving.

Thanks
Ken

Hi guys and thank you for posting your questions. Currently we have 17 soldiers signed up and some will be bringing their families. If we have a boater for each that would be 34 and family members and volunteers should make it around 50 people.

Thank you guys so much for your support and looking forward to the fish fry!

If you need anything else please give me a call or send me an email directly. You guys can introduce yourselves on here and let everyone know what you are doing for this event. Thank you again.

Mike, Thank You for the opportunity & blessing of letting the LLFF provide the Saturday evening fish fry. It was great to be able to fellowship with some fine folks, sit around a campfire and eat some of the fish caught that day!

May God continue to bless "Take A Soldier Fishing", our members of service, veterans and all the volunteers who make these fine events possible.

You and your guys are a great group and cooks! You can see the list of events that we have already posted and let me know what you guys with the Lake Lavon Fishing Forum can do to help with other events as well.

For those of you reading this...The LLFF has offered their Fishfry expertise to the other DFW area lakes when we hold an event there. It is going to cost about $150 per event for the food and if you would like to help these guys support our soldiers and would like to donate then please do. All you have to do is annotate "LLFF" on the memo section of the check or in the remarks section for PayPal/Credit Card.

I want to thank EVERYONE that was involved and participated in the event. A complete list of sponsors for the event will be posted and if you know of someone that helped out at the last minute or we forgot to put their name down then please send me an email at mike@takeasoldierfishing.com so I can get it corrected.

The biggest fish caught during the event was at about 5am from the shore line and weighed in at 21 pounds for a Blue Catfish. Bob Griffin - one of our soldiers caught this monster with the help of Dustin Hoffman. Dustin and Melanie did a great job getting the kids all set up for some bank fishing and another member of the LLFF brought a bounce house for the kids to use. Pictures will be posted soon!

Thank you once again to everyone!
Mike
